CANORAFT ON THE ISERE IN SAVOIE
Why go canorafting down the Isère ❓
Well, because the Isère is considered to be one of the most beautiful rivers in the Alps 😀
But also because the canoraft, also known as a hot-dog, is a two-seater craft, a subtle blend of rafting and canoeing, which allows you to tackle sporty rapids, solo or in pairs, without the drawbacks of traditional canoeing. With a canoe-raft, you can experience the spray of the waves even more close 🌊 and enjoy the river.
Our canoraft trip in Savoie
Descent down the gorges
Why not try canorafting? Climb aboard this two-seater inflatable boat, which is slightly less stable than a raft. You’ll be as close as possible to the rapids and will have to manage your trajectory, alone or in pairs, under the watchful eye of our guide on his own boat.
A good compromise for greater autonomy!

The frenquently asked questions
s
It’s an activity that involves paddling down part of a river in an inflatable boat, either solo or in pairs. The canoraft is a subtle blend of rafting and canoeing that allows you to cross rapids. Its unsinkability, stability and simplified approach to white-water techniques mean you can enjoy the river to the full.
Larousse definition: masculine noun, “Break in the longitudinal profile of a watercourse, determined by the existence of a threshold of hard rock between less resistant land. (Often plural.)”.
To put it simply: a rapid is created by a greater difference in level of the river over a given stretch or by a narrowing of the riverbed which creates an acceleration of the water through the venturi effect. The strong turbulence creates air bubbles that give the river a white colour.
It’s not a particularly sporting activity, but it’s a demanding one. You’ll come out of it feeling like you’ve spent an hour in the pool. The river alternates between calm stretches and more agitated passages. The guides in the team are there to adapt to your level and your desires!
Our descent is accessible from 14 years old.
Just a swimming costume and a towel. We’ll take care of the rest! Oh yes, we will need you to bring your smile too! 😄
